Almost one hour ago exactly we met our daughter, Molly Kate, in person for the first time. We actually saw her caregivers walking her in but only from behind so we could not tell for sure. They had dressed Molly Kate in the outfit we sent to her back in January and she had her doll and cameras that were in the care package as well.
Molly Kate was a bit reluctant at first but was very quiet as she walked to Mandy to be picked up and she has not made a peep yet. We are already back at our hotel and learned the first of many new things about our little girl: She’s a thumb-sucker!! She may be the cutest, sweetest, most adorable little girl in the history of the world.
The boys will be thrilled as well because the toy she gravitated to first (and has not really let go of yet) was the ball that they picked out for her. We already knew that Molly Kate would would fit right in to our family but her apparent love of balls just completely sealed the deal.

Precious! I am crying this morning as I look at these pictures and read about your first day with Molly Kate! She is beautiful!! Our roles have reversed now that you have a thumb sucker and I have a paci baby…who would have ever thought it?!? Love and prayers to you and Zach and little Molly Kate Evans!!! Woohoo!!

Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl, who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.
Adoption is certainly biblical – God bless all three of you as well as the three left home.
