Carter Selling at the Garage Sale

Garage Sale Success!

Wow!  What a weekend!  When we first woke up at 3:45 Saturday morning, it was POURING rain.  I was so discouraged.  We had SO much stuff that we knew we would need a couple of hours to get everything set up before people started showing up for the sale.  Zach decided to set up two canopies next to the garage and set the rest up in our garage.  It was super crowded…we had stuff on tables, under tables, and some boxes stacked on top of each other.  We had our first customer around 4:45 and by 6:30 our garage was packed.  There were several times during the day where traffic was so backed up on our street, people couldn’t get up and down the street.  The rain ended around 8am and we were able to move some tables outside and set up our bake sale.  The kids loved helping sell homemade goodies and water bottles to our customers.

On Saturday afternoon around 2, we decided it was time to close up.  We still had some customers but were quickly running out of merchandise to sale. We packed everything up and then headed inside to count our money.  🙂  We made about $2200!!!  Crazy for  a garage sale!  We were blessed with some great stuff to sale and some very generous shoppers.

We had so many friends help us out with this sale and are so thankful for them.  We had friends bake goodies for our bake sale.  We had friends help us sort and price during the week before the sale. We had friends at our house at 4am on Saturday to help us set up.  And we also had friends donate items for us to sale.  We feel so blessed.  Now we just need to get our baby girl home!  Please pray for our LOA to come soon!

My little salesman.  He woke up at 5 and stayed outside until we made him come in at 2.  He set up his own little stand and sold bracelets, rings, and earrings.

A little glimpse of the set-up.

These two sweet boys had so much fun playing together all day!
