Last weekend, my family and extended family threw my Nanny a surprise party to celebrate her 80th birthday. She was surprised and overwhelmed by the effort and thought. She was thrilled to see her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The kids had so much fun playing in the gym and especially enjoyed an egg hunt. We all enjoyed a yummy lunch together and then spent some time celebrating my Nanny. She has been an amazing example and presence in all our lives and we are so blessed to be a part of her family.
Nanny walking into the surprise party!
Nanny greeting Harrison, who came all the way from DC.
All the kiddos ready for their egg hunt.
Ethan and Harrison went straight for the suckers.
All the kids and their baskets full of treats.
Ethan really got into the egg hunt.
Carter enjoyed playing basketball with Uncle Craig.
Ethan loved all the riding toys…especially the helmet.
Seth, Ethan, and Carter love their new castle and toys. We stopped at a garage sale on our way up and the boys found this great deal. They love it!
We tried to get a good picture of Nanny and all the great-grandchildren. Poor little Harrison was SO tired and needed a nap, while Hadley just woke up. It isn’t the best picture, but definitely a memory. 🙂
Trying to sneak in a family picture before heading home.
