Weekend with Family

Last weekend my Mom, sister-in-law, and niece came to stay with us. Mom came on Thursday since Zach was out of town for work (and so was my Dad). We ate dinner with Craig on Thursday night and enjoyed some shopping on Friday. On Friday, Katie and Ella Ann stopped by our house on their way home from Kentucky. I had wanted them to visit sometime this summer so that we could take the kids to the zoo and let them play together all weekend. They have so much fun together and don’t get to spend a lot of time together. Craig was able to join us on Friday and Saturday and the kids loved that! It was a great weekend together, but we missed the rest of our family who couldn’t be there!

Ready for the zoo! I had the shirts made for the beach later this summer, but we decided to break them in early. Don’t they look cute? πŸ™‚

What a cheesy smile! Carter loves the zoo. He would stay forever if we would let him.

What a cutie! He was pointing to the dog across the street. He loves dogs. It is one of the words he can say – he doesn’t always use it correctly (today he called a bird a dog), but it is still cute to hear him say it. πŸ™‚

Seth used to ride in the stroller, but Saturday he wanted out and he wanted to walk. It was a challenge to keep up with him at times. Uncle Craig helped us keep the kids together.

Trying to get a quick picture with my boys, but Seth was too busy!

Taking a water break with Nana in front of the zebras.

What a life! Seth hanging out in the back yard with his snack.

Carter trying to convince Ella Ann to go through the sprinkler. It is so hard to believe that he is doing so well with water. He has made a lot of progress this summer!

Poor Seth. Zach (and Carter) were outside mowing and Seth was devastated that he couldn’t go. He is crying and screaming out the window because he can see them and yet cannot get out there with them. 😦
