Last Thursday the boys and I left to go to Kentucky to spend some time with my mom and dad. I was also going to attend a baby shower for one of my best friends who is due with her first baby in April. We left earlier than anticipated because our house was a mess because we are having ceramic tile put down in our two bathrooms. For the last week, things around our house have been a mess (and if you know me well, you know that I don’t handle that very well!). 🙂
As I was packing to leave for Owensboro, mom called to let me know they were forecasting 4-7 inches of snow for Friday. Not what I wanted to hear. But I finished packing (throwing in snow clothes) and left. It snowed all day Friday and all night. When we woke up Saturday morning, we had over 6 inches of snow! Carter and Seth had never seen snow like that! We didn’t have any snow boots (we don’t get snow in Nashville), so Dad fixed Carter’s pants so that snow wouldn’t get in. They were outside for over an hour. Carter LOVED it! Seth threw a fit at the front door until Mom dressed him and brought him outside as well for a few minutes. It was a lot of fun!
Carter, Papa, Nana, and Seth ready for some fun in the snow!
I’m usually taking the pictures, but wanted a pic with my boys!
Carter helping Papa shovel the driveway.
We spent the rest of the weekend indoors. The boys loved playing with our old toys (including Craig’s old pirate hat and Spencer’s old He-man sword). The shower was postponed until Sunday and it was alot of fun. I enjoyed seeing some old friends and visiting with people I hadn’t seen in a long time!
Nana played pirate and “fought” with Carter all weekend. He wore that hat every day!
Baking cupcakes with Nana. Carter is wearing a soccer medal around his neck. He also wore that most of the weekend. I’m not sure if it is Spencer’s or Craig’s.
A quick picture before we leave on Sunday afternoon. I didn’t get many pictures of Seth. He NEVER sat still the entire weekend. He explored the house from top to bottom. He pulled stuff out of drawers, cabinets, the entertainment center, etc… You name it, he was into it! He had so much fun!
