Mother’s Day 2007

Zach, Carter, Seth, and I traveled to Kentucky this weekend to spend Mother’s Day with my family. We left Friday afternoon and the boys did great in the car. Seth had a major meltdown after we got there, so we spent the first hour or two we were there trying to calm him down. He is really doing so much better, but still has an off day here and there. After he calmed down, we spent a nice night at Mom and Dad’s.

Seth in his new chair before we leave. He is still a little small for it.

Me and my boys before our weekend trip!

Carter loves to play with the doctor’s kit at his Nana and Papa’s house. He wears his “doctor” glasses and works on all of us…checking our ears, giving shots, etc…

Giving Papa a shot!

On Saturday, we all went to visit Zach’s sister, Brooke, and her family. We had a great time catching up and watching the kids play together. After visiting with them, I dropped Zach and the boys off at Mom and Dad’s house and went to lunch with some friends from high school. It was so nice to catch up and spend some time together! Craig and Ella Ann got to the house Saturday afternoon and we spent the rest of the day outside. It was definitely Carter’s dream day! He was outside from 7:30-4:00 with the exception of lunch and his nap! It was so nice to just hang out in the backyard and watch the kids play. Seth had a great day and enjoyed the extra attention from his Papa and Nana. Spencer and Katie arrived around 10:00 that night from a wedding they attended in Elizabethtown.

Carter loves playing with Spencer and Craig’s old tool bench.

Ella Ann loved the flowers. Papa picked her one and she carried it around.

Mother’s Day was great! The boys got me a wireless weather station (as a weather lover, that was a great gift for me!). We spent the morning at church and the rest of the day outside together. It was another relaxing day. It was so nice to be together and catch up! We ended the weekend with an early dinner and then we all went our separate ways. We had a great time!!

Zach and I feel so blessed to have wonderful mothers. We wish them a very happy Mother’s Day and thank them so much for all they have done for us!!
