A Visit to Nana and Papa’s House

This past weekend we traveled to Kentucky to visit my family. This was the first visit since Seth was born. It was so nice to be home! Zach took a half day off on Friday, so we were able to get there in time for Carter to enjoy playing outside. Carter was so excited about his destination, that he did not take a nap at all on Friday. This was the first time that Carter has gone without a nap and it was proof that he still desperately needs a nap every day! He was a bear by 6:30 and actually asked me to put him in bed at 6:45.
On Saturday, we took advantage of the awesome weather and spent most of the day outside. When Carter visits his Nana and Papa, he spends most of his time outside. He talks constantly about playing “stick ball” with Papa. After a morning outside, we all went out to lunch and Mom and I even got to get out and do a little shopping! After his nap, Carter had a great time hunting Easter eggs that his Uncle Craig and Aunt Kasey hid for him. It was a nice, relaxing day!

Seth was such a sweet little guy all weekend. He even slept for a 6 hour stretch on Saturday night! Mom and Dad were so nice to take over the nighttime feedings this weekend to give Zach and I a break. It was awesome…I haven’t slept like that in a LONG time!

Look at those cute baby blue eyes!

On Sunday, we all went to church together and enjoyed lunch before everyone headed home. Carter slept for a little while on the way home and Seth slept the entire time! We had such a good weekend! Here are some more pictures from Sunday:
